As you might be aware from my triple black daily (Black body, black rims, black interior), I think lots of great cars look good in triple black. I’d consider getting a triple black 1971 Cadillac Fleetwood even. And this Fox- this is definitely one of them.

This 1986 Ford Mustang SVO (2.3L Turbo, 200 hp) is damn sharp. Mostly stock.

This is proof that even the early and mid 1980s produced some gorgeous machines, or cars that can look outstanding when done tastefully.

Some say the rims look tachy, I actually like them. I would simply put a good quality steering wheel cover on it and it’s complete and spectacular. Thoughts?

I’m on your side here. And wheels are not tacky at all. I would just go with a smaller diameter with a little more sidewall personally.

I always get a weird feeling when I see 80s cars that have been lowered/stanced and placed on modern thin tires. They just don’t look right to me.

They’re not a bad looking wheel, but smaller ones with more wheel-to-fender gap would look better-proportioned.

I’m also not a fan of those mid-rear-window wings, even if they’re stock. They were such an 80s gimmick like window louvres.

On the upside, I think that’s a really nice looking hood and grille for this era.

That’s a slick SVO. Love the matte hood stripe.

I think I’d downsize those wheels just a tad, that car needs some sidewall. Also ditch the gold calipers for something more subtle, like dark metallic gray.

New steering wheel, black pool ball shifter (what masochist puts a metal knob in a black car?), and maybe some more modern seats.

And biplane wing ftw!

Nope, stock SVO hood.

It’s sexy. I modified my comment after a bit of research on it. Definitely the best looking hood and grille on this era that I’ve ever seen.

The SVO is an interesting blend of early and late Fox Body styling. The overall shape of the front end is the same as the earlies, but it has the aero lights and slot grill of the lates.

And that offset scoop is just cool.

Those wheels are hideous in my opinion. Put some Mach 1 wheels on it and it’s set.

It looks slick. I dont know what it is about an all black car, but I love it. Maybe because mine is too...:P...
